Terms of Service

SASKOCD SERVICE TERMS

These terms describe the clinical-service framework for SaskOCD, including scope of service, telehealth, fees, privacy, medication boundaries and educational resources.

Clinical service, not a guarantee

Treatment is individualized. SaskOCD does not guarantee symptom elimination, a particular diagnosis, funding approval or a specific treatment outcome.

These Terms of Service apply to clinical services arranged through SaskOCD, a specialized service of STG Health Services Inc.

Scope of service. SaskOCD provides psychotherapy, clinical assessment/formulation within clinician scope, OCD-focused education, ERP-based treatment, and related supports. Medical and prescribing services, when available, are separate professional services provided by an appropriately qualified prescriber.

Not an emergency service. SaskOCD is not a crisis line, emergency department or 24-hour monitoring service. Immediate safety or medical emergencies require the appropriate emergency or local crisis pathway.

Clinical suitability. Completing an intake does not guarantee that SaskOCD is the appropriate service. A clinician may recommend another provider, level of care, medical assessment or specialty service when that is clinically indicated.

Telehealth. Virtual care depends on the client location, professional scope, privacy, technology and applicable professional requirements. Clients are responsible for joining from an environment that is reasonably private and safe when possible.

Fees and funding. Fees, insurance and third-party funding are subject to the current published fee structure, provider eligibility and program approval. Third-party coverage should be confirmed before relying on it. Clients remain responsible for charges not covered by an insurer or funding program unless another written arrangement applies.

Appointments and communication. Scheduling, cancellation expectations, secure messaging boundaries and response times are explained during intake or treatment. Routine email is not an emergency or secure clinical crisis channel.

Clinical records and privacy. Personal information and clinical records are handled according to applicable privacy requirements, professional standards and the SaskOCD/STG Health privacy and confidentiality notices.

Medication. Website information about medication is educational. Prescription decisions require an individual medical assessment. Do not start, stop or change medication based on website content.

Educational resources. Articles, starter plans and website information are general educational resources and do not create a therapist-client relationship, provide a diagnosis, or replace individualized medical or mental-health care.

Changes and questions. Service policies may change as programs, professional requirements and clinic operations change. Ask the clinic for clarification before booking if any term is unclear.
